Emily Irene VanCamp was born in Canada. She's an actress that has appeared in multiple television series. She also excels in the film industry. Her work is well-known on both Canadian as well as American TV. At the age of Emily was 12 she became fascinated by acting after she visited her elder sister Katie while filming one of her film. After realizing her passion for acting she started taking acting classes and went for auditions. The first time she auditioned was with small amount of advertisements and then was selected for Are You afraid of the Dark the Canadian horror series for children. She was only seen in only one scene and without dialogue. In the year she turned 15years old, Emily had her biggest breakthrough when she was made an official character on the WB Television show Glory Days. Emily's character caught Greg Berlanti's eye, even though the show ended with just nine episodes. Greg Berlanti cast Emily as a regular in Everwood. Emily was also a dancer as well as a photographer. Teen once named her among the best actors who were under twenty. Maxim's Hot 100 2014 list ranked her at number 51.
