Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
While I had one baby on me and others in the cradle, I worked 12 hours a day cleaning floors and tear off wallpaper. Ha! It was all falling into place, but there was still a long way to go. It was going to take lots of time and money and shopping my favorite furnishings for this house. To keep in my budget, I took my boys along to search for hidden treasures at estate sales. We used to go on a weekly basis of walking around auctions and garage sales on Sundays and Saturdays as well as purchase various of old pieces and new made. It was my job to spend the day in the driveway either painting or sanding. The furniture looked like this... which is where I found my love for restoration. Even after our house was furnished I couldn't stop! There was an area on the market in town in which I sold my pieces. I was able to outgrow the area because I had plenty of pieces that I could use. I held open houses at my residence where 1 thousand people would visit over a weekend, and visitors could buy anything from the ground level. My business Growing Days began here. Alongside my flourishing company, I also started our family. It was like I found the ideal balance between being a mum and starting my new venture. Growing Days seemed like the best match. In 2013, my beautiful daughter Nora was born. She is our fourth kiddo. My company was doing well but I wanted a rest. I took a pause from creating vintage furniture and slowed down my pace and stayed at home to take care of the kids. This was precisely what I required. However after a few months after that, the phone began to call. People contacted me asking for help with decorating their homes and interiors. They were mostly people who visited my home to purchase furniture. I started taking on some clients at a time working at my own pace but it didn't take for long to have numerous accounts and had the complete business of home remodeling. It is likely that I would have been laughing if someone had told me the company was to become the basis for an upcoming TV show in the DIY Network. As I reflect back, it still makes me smile.
