When she was 14 April spent a lot of time to writing song ideas and practicing the music she was playing. After that, she started taking excursions to write with her father in NY in New York and LA. April also began to include different topics related to some of her classmates who struggle in the area of peer pressure disabilities and even teens who commit suicide through the songs"Take" my Hand. Lockhart also enjoys an increasing popularity as a lifestyle influencer as well as a spokesperson for the popular Clean Beauty company Ilia. Since she was born without a left hand, Lockhart is an important part of her. It's however not her entire story. The account on Instagram of Lockhart doesn't deny her disability. But it also doesn't insist on her disability. The message? The message? That we each contain multitudes, that our identities and physical bodies aren't what they appear. I do not want this to determine me. I do not wish to become a disability influencer where that's all I talk about because there are so many other elements to my life. Lockhart says via video from her residence in Nashville. This doesn't interfere with my everyday life. It's all normal, and I've learned to adjust. Since it's a my identity, it's something that's worthy of talking about. Lockhart is a huge source of inspiration for her female friends in the area of acceptance of oneself. Still she admits she's gone through phases of her body at times not being confident in wearing certain types of clothing that showed the arms of her. The woman now puts on whatever clothes she likes and uploads photos on Facebook in awe. To her, self-love was an extended process. This is, however, common for anyone with doubts. It is important to have people that know and appreciate your situation. They'll be the ones to ask what you think about?
